Branding Agency in Wrexham for Complete Brand Identities

Branding that makes you look like the market leader, not the challenger.

Your brand is often the first thing people judge you on, long before they speak to you. Salisbury Media is a founder-led branding agency based in Bangor-on-Dee, near Wrexham. We build complete brand identities for businesses that want to look as good as they are: the thinking, the logo, the colours, the type and the rules that hold it all together. You work directly with Rob from first call to final files.

Our Approach

A brand identity, not just a logo

A logo on its own rarely fixes the problem. What makes a business look established is consistency: the same colours, the same typefaces, the same tone and the same standard of design on the website, the van, the proposal and the Instagram grid. That is what a brand identity gives you, and it is what we design.

Your logo is an important part of it, but it is designed as one piece of a system, built to work alongside everything else rather than in isolation. That is why our projects start with strategy, not sketches.

What’s Included

What’s included in a brand identity project

Every project is scoped to what your business needs, but a full identity typically covers:

  • Brand strategy: who you are for, how you are different, and how you want to be seen. We agree the positioning before any design starts (see brand strategy).
  • Logo suite: a primary logo plus secondary versions, icon or monogram, and versions for dark, light and small-size use (see logo design in Wrexham and North Wales).
  • Colour palette: primary and supporting colours, with print and screen values so they match everywhere.
  • Typography: headline and body typefaces, with rules for how to use them.
  • Brand guidelines: a clear document showing your team, printers and web developers how to use the brand properly (see brand guidelines).
  • Applications: the brand applied to the things you actually use, such as business cards, social templates, email signatures, signage, vehicle graphics or packaging.
  • Bilingual: we create bilingual Welsh and English brand identities, working with an experienced Welsh-language translator.
Rebrands

Rebrands and brand refreshes

Not every business needs to start again. Sometimes a brand has simply drifted: three versions of the logo in use, colours that change from printer to printer, a look that no longer matches the business you have become. A refresh tidies and strengthens what you have. A full rebrand is the right call when your positioning has changed, you have merged, moved upmarket or outgrown the name. We will tell you honestly which one you need.

Process

How we work

  1. Free brand review or call: we look at where you are now and what you need.
  2. Budget and scope: we discuss budget upfront and shape the project to fit, separating what is essential now from what can follow in later phases.
  3. Strategy: research and positioning, agreed with you in writing.
  4. Design: logo and identity concepts with the reasoning behind them, refined with your feedback.
  5. Guidelines and handover: final files in every format you need (see which logo files you should get), plus your guidelines.

Proof: Elevate Accountancy, built from the brand up

We created the Elevate Accountancy brand, then designed and built its website and ran its SEO. Elevate has generated £1.7m in sales in its first three years from a cold start, with the brand, website and search visibility all playing their part in winning new clients.

“Salisbury Media played a pivotal role in the creation of our Elevate Accountancy brand, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. […] Their dedication to our success was evident, and it has had a positive impact on our business.”

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a brand identity cost?

It depends on the scope, so we talk about budget upfront. We then shape the project to fit, recommending what is essential now and what can be added in later phases.

What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?

A logo is one mark. A brand identity is the full system around it: strategy, logo suite, colour palette, typography, guidelines and how it all applies to your website, print, signage and social media.

Do you design logos on their own?

No, and that’s deliberate. Every logo we design is part of a brand identity, because a logo on its own doesn’t give you the colour, type and rules to use it properly. See how we approach logo design.

Can you create a bilingual Welsh and English brand?

Yes. We create bilingual Welsh and English brand identities, working with an experienced Welsh-language translator, so your name, strapline and materials work properly in both languages.

Should I rebrand or refresh my brand?

If your business and audience are broadly the same but the brand looks dated or inconsistent, a refresh is usually enough. If your positioning, name or market has changed, a full rebrand may be the better investment. We will give you an honest recommendation.

How long does a branding project take?

It depends on the scope and how quickly decisions are made. We agree a timeline with you at the proposal stage.

Do I own the final brand files?

Ownership of all final brand files and artwork passes fully to you upon final payment.

Do you only work with businesses in Wrexham?

No. We are based near Wrexham and work with businesses across North Wales and the North West of England, including Chester, Cheshire, the Wirral and Merseyside, as well as clients UK-wide.
